New-generation Data Management tools give organizations advantage over contestants in a post-Covid digital innovation age

Advanced data management allows organizations to gather data from various sources to one central place, optimize them and get critical insights for later.

In a world in which the amount of data an organization needs to manage is doubled every three years, many organizations have reached the conclusion that an upgrade is necessary for the way data is managed. They understand that they must change the way the organization thinks regarding data management and integration.

Digital and innovation

The instant need to open new channels (Mobile Web etc.) with clients, agents, partners, and providers, requires the availability of reliable data in order to make decisions and execute of transactions.
The time required from getting the information to having insights needs to shorten substantially: the end clients are asking to get the information quickly. Studies have shown that 40% of clients will not wait more than 3 seconds to get information on the screen. They will prefer to go to another screen.
The need for service improvement binds for fast and stable integration tools which combine data optimization while transferring it. Organizations must be prepared to open new media channels with their clients, for they need to initiate, not just respond to them, and so they need fast and reliable tools that can withstand the greatest of service demands.

Regulation

The regulation is driving organizations to take control over their data management abilities. For example, regulation IFRS 17. The organizations complying with the regulations are enjoying a great profit, providing them the ability to work with innovative tools, which allows them to shorten the time of development and investment preservation. They need not increase their costs (with the old tools, the charge is for each server and interface, while with the new tools, such as Talend, the charge is for each developer only).

Self Service

The internal clients are also asking to get reliable data in a short time. Usually, they will ask for direct permission to access the data to create their own reports, regardless of self-service IT.
The advantage is obvious: the danger of making IT into a bottleneck regarding all small services. As the number of analysts in the organization grows, so will the pressure on the IT department to provide the data and, with that, the costs of Shadow IT. Here too, the advantage of Talend reflects significantly: it allows to shorten development time schedule and sets automated tools for data optimization and preparation using the end user.

Cloud and Big Data Integration

One of the problems with data proliferation is managing it and processing the amount of data. Therefore, the common solutions are building Hadoop bases and/or using cloud databases. Here too, a building strategy is required to maintain the organization’s business logic and prevent the need for duplication procedures. Talend is solving the problem of duplicating procedures by activating a code generator specifically for each environment, which allows transferring the same job to a different destination without any development and with an easy drag.

According to Yinon Brosh, CTO of KSM (Kahn Sagol Maccabi), Maccabi’s research and innovation institute, advanced data management is the base to make innocent collected data (without identifying information) accessible, and in accordance with all data security and privacy protection regulations, in health funds labs and trust units for more research, that will change the image for the best treatment for members of Maccabi and the medical world.
“Working with Talend produces monthly processes serving dozens of research projects. Working with this system allows us automation, inspections, and integration that saves us, and our clients, precious time.”

About Talend

In 2005 the data market was at a crossroads. While other branches have been drawn to expensive and complex integration products, Talend founders Fabrice Bonan and Bertrand Diard believed there’s another way: simple, strong, flexible, and expandable. Their solution was the first commercial program with open-source code for data integration. Talend have believed that it must change how the world makes decisions, and the way to achieve that is by making data available for everyone.
A little more than a decade later (2016) – after launching an organizational big data solution and foreseeing the industry shift to cloud infrastructure, the company went public on Nasdaq under the name TLND. The company is leading the world’s data management field research companies and offers data integrity and health solutions.
